Summary: Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) sponsors the annual Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards competition, providing seed funding for research by junior faculty and, catalyzing competitiveness for other funding. Awards are $5K for one year (June 1 to May 31) and require a match of $5K (provided by ORSP).
UM Call for Internal Pre-proposals for NSF Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Internal UM competition for 2020 NSF competition
NSF MRI seeks to improve the quality and expand the scope of research and research training in science and engineering by providing shared instrumentation that fosters the integration of research and education in research-intensive learning environments.
ORSP seeks Notices of Intent by 5pm, 8/5/2019, from UM individuals interested in leading proposals to the NSF AISL limited submission funding opportunity. If more NOIs are received than the 3 institutional slots allowed for this competition, ORSP will announce an internal competition to select which 3 proposals to move forward. The due date for those NSF proposals is 11/6/2019.
