2014 Dept. of Defense- Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program Pre-Announcement

Program:  The Fiscal Year 2014 (FY14) Defense Appropriations Act provides research funding for the peer reviewed programs managed by the Department of Defense (DOD) office of Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). Mississippi IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (MS-INBRE)

The Mississippi-INBRE network seeks to enhance research competitiveness in the State and engage talented investigators and students in biomedical research projects that will impact the health of the citizens of Mississippi. The scientific focus of the MS-INBRE is obesity, cancer, and sexually transmitted diseases. Managed by the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), MS-INBRE is funded by a grant from the Institutional Development Award (IDeA) program from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS/NIH).
