The PI is responsible for:

Timely Certification

certifications must be completed within 60 days after the end of the certification period to certify personnel charges are allocated properly based on effort expended;

Percent Effort Being Consistent with Work on the Project

the percent of effort reported on a project should be consistent with the amount of time worked on the project within a 5% variance, whether the time is required cost share for the project or supported by sponsor funding;
