Research Insight

Part of the Academic Analytics Discovery Suite, Research Insight is a tool to help users "find subject matter experts within an institution or externally, build diverse teams, and identify funding opportunities."

ORSP has procured a one-year Research Insight license (at least through the end of 2019). Access is available for (or may be requested by) UM Deans, Associated Deans for Research, or their designated representatives, as well as research support personnel in ORSP and other central support offices. Before accounts can be activiated or accessed, users must participate in a ~1 hour Webinar training session. There are several ways to do this:

  1. Any UM employee or faculty member can sign up for and attend one of the ORSP-organized Introduction to Research Insight training sessions. These will either involve connecting to a live WebEx session from an AA training specialist, or group viewing a recording of a previous Webinar. 
  2. Request a one-on-one or small-group Webinar from an AA training specialist. This option is only available to those for whom Research Insight access has been requested by their respective Dean, ADR, or similar administrative supervisor.

Those who have been trained and granted accounts can login using your UM WebID/password at https://portal2.academicanalytics.com/sso/olemiss. At each login, you will be asked to agree to the terms of usage. NOTE: Do not attempt to login through Academic Analytics' regular login portal--your WebId will not work there.
