Management of Procedures

Purpose and Scope of Procedures

The purpose of a Procedure is to supplement the Patent and Invention Policy (the “Policy”). A Procedure applies to the current version of the Policy as well as previous versions of the Policy as long as a previous version of the Policy governs a specific technology.

Approval of Guidance Documents

New Procedures and changes to existing Procedures will be approved in advance by the Intellectual Property Management Group for Life Sciences and by the Intellectual Property Management Group for Physical Sciences and Engineering. Approval of a Procedure will be recorded in the meeting minutes.

Maintenance of Procedures

The Division of Technology Management in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is responsible for maintenance of the Procedures. The Procedures will be posted on the Division’s website and will be hyperlinked within the Policy.
