Dr. Katrina Caldwell, Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Community Engagement, will be joined by other team members in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement to provide information on resources, tips, and approaches to address diversity, equity, and inclusion when writing grant proposals. The presentation will be offered twice in May, each time followed by a question and answer session.
The fifth annual University of Mississippi Research Day will be held Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Jackson Avenue Center on the Oxford campus. Alternating each year between the Oxford and Jackson campuses, Research Day provides a forum for UM and UMMC employees and students to share their exciting research and creative scholarship work and interests with one another in an environment that facilitates conversation and collaboration building.
Activities will begin promptly at 10am and conclude by 3pm.
UM/UMMC Research Day will be held April 4, 2018, in the Nelso Student Union on the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus in Jackson.
Research Day is an annual opportunity for members of the university community and beyond to learn more about the scientific and scholarly research being conducted on both campuses.
The Mississippi-INBRE network seeks to enhance research competitiveness in the State and engage talented investigators and students in biomedical research projects that will impact the health of the citizens of Mississippi. The scientific focus of the MS-INBRE is obesity, cancer, and sexually transmitted diseases. Managed by the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), MS-INBRE is funded by a grant from the Institutional Development Award (IDeA) program from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS/NIH).
