Call for UM Pre-Proposals
United States-India Educational Foundation:
Indo-U.S. 21st Century Knowledge Initiative
Purpose: to strengthen collaboration and build partnerships between American and Indian institutions of higher education.
Goals: to encourage mutual understanding, facilitate educational reform, foster economic development, and engage civil society through academic cooperation with Indian post-secondary educational institutions.
Exchange Activities: may include but are not limited to curriculum design, research collaboration, team teaching, focused series of exchanges, seminars, among other activities. Activities should be designed to develop expertise, advance scholarship and teaching, and promote long-term ties between partner institutions.
Eligible fields: Energy, Climate Change & Environmental Studies; Education & Educational Reform; Public Health; Sustainable Development & Community Development; and International Relations & Strategic Studies.
This is a limited submission. Submit pre-proposals to ORSP according to the instructions below by September 15th. One pre-proposal will be selected no later than September 21st for development into a full proposal that will be due to ORSP by October 26, to submit to the sponsor by November 2, 2015.
Internal Competition Instructions (USIEF OSI 2015)
Prepare a pre-proposal of no more than three, single-spaced pages with 12-point type font, one-inch margins on the top, bottom, and right, and 1 ½ inch on the left. E-mail to research@olemiss.edu no later than September 15, 2015 with the subject: USIEF OSI 15 Pre-Proposal: PI NAME. Non-compliant proposals will not be considered.
Your pre-proposal should address the following questions, in order the order given. Use the questions as the section headers.
