The ORSP will host three information sessions on communicating about science to non-scientists. Scientific literacy is important in sound decision making, whether for younger students still deciding what to be when they grow up, political leaders considering the implications of legislative and policy options, or ordinary citizens making everyday life decisions. Each speaker will describe a different set of approaches and resources available to UM scientists to broaden the impact of the research they propose and conduct. E-mail your reservation to any or all three events to events ( at ) reseach ( dot ) olemiss ( dot ) edu. Lunch will be provided.
