Our office negotiates all license and option agreements related to commercialization of University-owned technologies.

Standard terms for licensing UM technologies may involve several different arrangements. For example, upfront license fees, running royalties, and/or equity. Because each technology has a different market value and industry standards vary by technology, the exact arrangements are negotiated through the Director of Technology Management.

Express Agreements

One of the primary roles of the ORSP Division of Technology Management is to negotiate intellectual property related agreements.
