Shorter turnaround for EPSCoR Co-Funding Certification

The Office of the Mississippi Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (MS EPSCoR) housed at Mississippi State has shortened the amount of time it requires to process a request for Co-Funding Certification. Forms may now be faxed or e-mailed to MSU five working days before proposal submission. (Previously, MS EPSCoR had requested 10 working days.) The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs handles processing of requests for Co-Funding Certification. For assistance, please call 915-7482.

Co-Funding Certification is available to researchers applying to NSF for projects in one of five areas targeted by Mississippi: biological sciences; chemical sciences; computational sciences; materials sciences and materials processing; and social, behavioral, and economic research. If a proposal with Co-Funding Certification is ranked very high but falls below the funding line, the program officer may seek co-funding from an EPSCoR fund set aside for this purpose.
