These grants are to attract and retain in teaching careers highly qualified individuals with expertise in nuclear engineering, heath physics, radiochemistry and related disciplines.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is now accepting grant proposals for Round 8 of Grand Challenges Explorations, an initiative to encourage innovative and unconventional global health and development solutions. Applicants can be at any experience level; in any discipline; and from any organization, including colleges and universities, government laboratories, research institutions, non-profit organizations and for profit companies.
The Mississippi Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI) invites proposals for water research from faculty and staff at any Mississippi research university. Key areas for this year’s priority research have been identified below. Three proposals will be funded as part of this RFP. Non-tenured faculty are strongly encouraged to submit proposals. The MWRRI strongly encourages applicants to collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies.
The purpose of this solicitation is to select one UM nominee for the 2012 Searle Scholars Program. The nominee selected will be expected to submit a full proposal to Searle by September 30, 2011. This is the seventh year UM has been invited to participate in this prestigious annual competition, whose prime objective is to support the research and career development of junior faculty with outstanding potential.
